Book club, party of 2
Several months ago, while Marc and I were on a summer vacation, I bought him a German edition of the book “Cutting for Stone”. The book is easily in my top-5 books, and I was sure Marc would appreciate the multi-cultural tone of the book. Once he had read it, we loved talking about it, and sharing our thoughts on it.
So I bought him two more books this month. One is The Book Thief, based in the WWII era. Again, a wonderful, beautifully written book. The other one is a Murakami book “Hard boiled Wonderland and the End of the World”. I’ve been wanting to read Murakami for a while, and I’m hoping we can read it together and have a mini book club of our own. So much better than discussing the latest remodel status 🙂
