10 years of us
Marc and I had our 10 year anniversary last week. 10 years! We celebrated through the week, going out for a movie, eating out, and spending a night at a wonderful resort.
Selfie stick magic from our room balcony.
Sunny winter days in Texas are really the best!
How did 10 years pass? In some ways, it feels like a blur. Weren’t we just changing diapers on a baby? In other ways though, I can barely remember the wedding planning, the early years, except in windows of memorable events. Backyard goldfish, Kuttu stealing chocolate and going nuts, the rental house with renegade asparagus, having family over for our wedding, trips to ski, visiting friends. Well, all of that was before kids. The post-Ro years are a bigger blur. So when we get a chance to duck out of the system and take a breather, we are more than happy to.
Doesn’t this look inviting?! It was! We actually sat and just stared at the river for a while. Doing nothing. Sweet!
We hiked both days through McKinney Roughs. Marc was the one constantly saying “Shall we hike more?”. Who is this man? My new best friend! 🙂
We walked past this 207 year old pecan tree. It was pretty majestic considering the kind of trees we normally have in south Texas.
Yup, that’s us.
Pecan bark. Up close. So many layers from such a long life!
And at night, we popped open a special bottle of wine we had bought last year. Delicious way to celebrate!
Can’t wait to see what the next decade brings!
